The wood we make your table from
Seven species, each with its own colour, hardness and character.
We work seven species. Mostly oak and ash, because they stand up to everyday meals; the others come in when you want a particular colour or character.

Oak
Our staple. Hard, heavy and stable, with straight grain and its characteristic rays. It shrugs off scratches, forgotten glasses and decades of family meals.
